Andrew Carl Fathbruckner, age 80 of Delaware died unexpectedly early Monday morning, September 17, 2001.
He was born in Stratford on Sept. 1, 1921 to the late Harley and Tillie (Millhouse) Fathbruckner. Lifelong area resident, graduate of Hyatts High School. US Coast Guard Veteran, serving at the Graysharbor Lighthouse in Aberdeen, WA. Andrew worked as a Machinist for the Lennox Corp.
He was a member of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball farmteam.
Member of St. Mary Church, lifelong active member of the Delaware Softball Community, Hyatts Park Assoc. and was a avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Survived by Children: Karen Foulke of Delaware, Andrew (Janice) Fathbruckner of Westchester, Ohio, Judy (Dave) Kidwell of Delaware, Joseph (Connie) Fathbruckner of Delaware, Thomas (Barbara) Fathbruckner, Jane (Ron) Spring of Delaware, 13 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, Brothers: Harley, Larry, Jim Fathbruckner, Sisters: Genevieve Coy, Ann Harmon, Mary O’Connell, Janice Trippier.
Preceded in death by wife of 52 years: Kathleen on Aug. 28, 1994, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Friends may call Tuesday 2-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday 12-noon at St. Mary Church, Father Kevin Kavanagh Celebrant. Interment St. Mary Cemetery.
