Naomi C. Fairchild, age 88, of Sychar Road, Mount Vernon, went to be with her Lord on Thursday December 7, 2006 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born on October 8, 1918 in Quebec, Canada to the late Frederick and Florence (Barnes) Crawford. She was a faithful member of the Fredericktown Church of God.

She is survived by a son, Calvin (Elaine) Fairchild of Pulaski, New York, five daughters, Florence (Gary) Skeen of Mount Vernon, Harriet (John) Parker of Butler, Ruth (Steve) Williams of Howard, Esther (Jeff) Carpenter of Mount Vernon, Lois (Rick) Sipes of Mount Vernon, nine grandchildren, Benny, April, Adriann, Bobby, Seth, Stephanie, Corey, Jennifer and Ryan, three great grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony and Bryce.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband C. Orvis Fairchild (1997), an infant son Clark Myron Fairchild, two sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Rev. Richard Prater and Pastor Sandy Kempen will be officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
