MANSFIELD - Meriam Altha Ball, 80, of Mansfield, is with her Lord since passing away Sunday, November 1, 2009 in Mansfield MedCentral Hospital.

A lifelong area resident, Meriam worked at Decca Manufacturing, the Billing Department at Sears and also at Marco Photo.

Skilled in the art of quilting, Meriam enjoyed expressing herself through her needlework. She was a member and teacher of the Quilting Group at Togliatti’s in Mansfield. Often that group would donate their time making pillows for area nursing homes as well as hats for cancer patients. Meriam also loved sharing her quilts with her family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed reading numerous Christian books.

A 34-year member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Meriam was often in God’s word, continually reading through her bible.

Gilead, sister-in-law Gretchen Huvler of Fredericktown, brothers-in-law Avery and Billy Ball both of Mansfield, and a sister-in-law Margaret of Mansfield; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a large church family.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Junior Lee Ball, sister Dorothy Huvler, brother Eugene Huvler, sister-in-law Norma Jean Huvler, and brother-in-law Kenneth Ball.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 4-7pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 11am. Pastors Ron Puff and Millissa Hartson will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
