William Gary “Bill” Koser, age 71, of Mansfield, died Saturday July 24, 2010 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born March 23, 1939 in Mount Vernon and graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1957 where he was a member of the high school basketball team.
He retired from General Motors, Fisher Body Plant in Ontario after 30 years employment.
Bill attended the Owl Creek Church of the Brethren in Ankenytown, was a member of the Mansfield Moose Lodge, and was an avid fisherman and golfer.
Surviving are his mother Eulalah (Tucker) Swank of Fredericktown, his daughters Holly and Heidi; his sister Susan Swank (Ronald) Algire of Fredericktown; and his brother John Koser.
He was preceded in death by his father John Koser and his stepfather John D. Swank.
Friends may call from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 with the Rev. Charles Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow at the Owl Creek Cemetery in Ankenytown.
